A Few Words From the Editor

Devra Ann Jacobs

Spring is coming, and if you are anything like me, you are ready for it!

There is something so amazing about that first morning you walk outside to the slight touch of warmth on your face -- that morning when you know spring has finally arrived. The world seems all new again in the soft side of spring. Spring holds the possibilities of new birth.

There is renewed hope in spring that all that has been lying dormant through winter will sprout soon and emerge from the earth again. I listen to the birds sing as they build their nests and prepare for new life to emerge from soon-to-be laid eggs. I get so excited watching the ravens return to their nests after their long absence during the winter months. Their squawks remind me to wake up and listen to my heart for truth.

What is it about spring that seems to lighten the heart and remind us that all of life is a miracle and the possibilities are endless?

As the trees start to bud, I begin to feel restless inside with this energy of new creations for me as well as the flowering of fruit that will come in summer. This is the time to look within and find the dreams and goals you have planted. It’s time for them to grow and spring forth into the world. It is an idea you hold, appearing as just a small bud but about to bloom into a wondrous new adventure for your soul.

As the animals give birth, we too have the opportunity to birth new ideas. Which way will you grow this spring? Will you grow upward to your own full potential or lay dormant for another year? This is your time and the time is now. Who do you choose to represent your thoughts and beliefs for your country? Is this the year you choose to be responsible for all that you create on the planet? Is this the year you spring into action to make changes? Can your creation make a difference?

I believe that all that comes with the new birth of life in the spring comes from sitting with myself, in the quiet days of winter. In the cold of winter, time seems to move a little slower and my thoughts can be sorted.

I think of how I lived in the previous year. Want do I want to change? To create less stress, more money, some vacation time to rest, more interviews to tell the world about Mystic Pop, or maybe it’s time to write a book?

Whatever feelings spring brings to you just, feel the changes in you as one season comes to a close and opens to the next.

Blessed journeys,
Please feel free to write me and let me know what your thoughts are
