Life is Full of Color!

by Arlene Arnold

Recently a friend of mine said he was craving green salad like never before. It seemed that was all he wanted to eat. I knew this meant that the green in his energy field was depleted.

I thought about what was happening in his life at that time. He was having trouble in his marriage. Because home and family are very important to him, his heart was hurting over the miscommunication, angry words, and lack of closeness between him and his wife.

In my ColorCard book in the chapter on green, there is a section on lessons called “Closing In” that seems to apply to Dean: “Does being vulnerable feel like self-destruction? If so, you have cut off the flow of energy from your heart. Your stem may be planted in the earth, but it will never be strong or support a flower until the flow is restored. Below the surface is a part of you that feels unprotected and alone. Only you can reclaim this part of yourself and bring it into your wholeness. Let it experience the love you have for it in your heart. Let it know there is a capable part of you that can take charge. Call on the help that is available to you. You are not alone.”

After leaving his home and planning to start a life elsewhere and then invite is wife and child to join him, Dean realized he was simply running. It took him some time away from home to know that he not only needed to take care of himself, but he needed to face how he had closed down.

He has since returned to live closer to where is wife and child live, planning to seek counseling and do work that is his heart’s desire. He has discovered that part of the reason his heart closed down was because he was not pursuing his passion—photography.

Desiring to eat only greens was a signal for him. With a little space and time, he began to see what he needed to do to be able to open his heart without blame and without expecting his wife to become vulnerable on her own.

Color & Career

Kathy asks, “I’m trying to figure out which career to pursue. I need some guidance.”

Kathy, the color I intuitively picked for you is pink. In the chapter on pink in the ColorCard book under Life Purpose there is a paragraph called “Advocacy for Children.” Here is what it says: “Your childlike nature looks out for children. You want to give them safety and nurturing. You want them to be free to laugh and enjoy life. You want them to know they can be who they are because they are beautiful just as they are.”

Most likely you have been prepared for this career by the experiences of your life. There’s a good chance you didn’t feel safe as child; you didn’t feel like you could laugh and enjoy life. Now that you are older you understand so well the children who feel that same way.

Life experience has a way of preparing us for the service we can offer to the world. This is usually an uncomfortable process, yet it prepares us to be the most help to others.

Psychic Gifts

Gerrie says, “A friend of mine is psychic. She has informed me that I am ‘one of the Masters.’ How do I know when the messages, information, and visions I get are the Divine coming through me and when it’s my own imagination?”

Gerrie, this is a great question. The best way to know where these messages come from is to feel the answers.

If they are coming through the Ego/Personality Self, they will often feel blaming, anxious, judgmental, fearful, or negative. Take time to refocus and ask for guidance from a deeper part of you. Be very specific in asking that information only come through your Soul. The part of the Soul that is here with you in this life time is often called the Higher Self. This can be the clearing house for information. Set your intention so that you receive only that which has been allowed by your High Self.

When information comes from that deeper place in the heart, it is always confirming, helpful, warm, transforming, nurturing, and feels good. Even if there is information that says you are not on the right track, it is always delivered in a supportive way. Those on the others side and your Soul know how difficult it is to live in human form. They are always amazed that we do as well as we do. You may feel them clapping as you finally understand something or make a decision that is very right for you.

Also, when you have a vision or see an object with inner eyes that you don’t understand, remember that everything has consciousness. Ask the object or whatever you sense or see what it is telling you. Make it clear that you are in human form and need something very concrete to make sense of it. As you receive the information, keep asking questions until you are clear about what is being offered.

I also find it is helpful to have an intuitive partner. When you and your friend focus on the same information or circumstance you help each other. It’s as if your energies combine to take you into the clarity of your own psychic ability

Gerrie, here is part of one section in the ColorCard book in the chapter on Violet that may help: “Be honest with yourself. Know your motivations. Clear out the rationalizations. Great responsibility goes with your spiritual powers. They are to be used to manifest the greater good.”
